Dear Mr. Mangini,
As I sit here in class and write this letter to you, I find myself thinking about my first day of class. I had no idea what an English Composition Class would be like and what we will be doing in this class. One you explain to us what this class would be like, I got a better understanding. I really enjoyed the first blog assignment which was Theme Song . My song choice was very important to me because I feel as though it is a topic that is not discuss a lot and needs to be address. When we talked about the Writing Process, I came up with different ideas that worked and didn’t work for me. Some things that did worked for me was going into a comfortable place like my mother’s room and isolating myself from other people so I could focus and write. Also I would eat before I write so I wouldn’t be thinking on an empty stomach and could come up with good ideas. Some ideas that didn’t work for me was leaving my work and think I would come back to it when I would end up not coming back to it because I get easily distracted and would do something else.
Something I think I need to work on is my Blog Entries because sometimes I put a lot of thought in my blogs so they come out great in my opinion and other times I over think my writing so I won’t like it like I would like my other blogs. I think Weebly has helped me grow as a writer and as a student who is still learning because I knew how to work computers before put not to the advance level were I’m making links or putting up videos on a website. I learned how to do that threw Weebly’s help tutorial’s.
I know my views on writing have change since the beginning of this course till now. I didn’t know writing had so many parts and could you can be so descriptive with writing. Before I didn’t know what showing and telling scenes were in writing and now I have a clear understanding and good definition in my Week 4 Blog Post. Overall I feel as though my English Composition has helped me grow as a writer and student and you are a great professor who strives for your student’s improvement not only as a writer, but as an overall student
Sincerely,
Alexann Brown
