In this blog post I will be discussing what I did in my English Comp class in the past two classes and also will discuss what has happen in my personal life.
In my English Comp class we had finished watching the movie Food Inc and broke up in groups to discuss the movie and tried to come up with possible research questions. I felt as though the movie Food Inc was a very well put together movie in which the message was well delivered and they did a good job with connecting with the audience. Some things that stood out to me was the mistreatment of the animals and the how much of a big difference it is to farm organically rather than farm with factories. Even now I am scared to eat certain foods and it ruins my appetite to eat because I'm scared it has e coli in it or I just think about how the animals were treated in the movie. I still don't understand why food industries just can't grasp the idea of going back to the old way of farming by having the animals go back to natural fertilization which would not only create a safer environment for the animals but also the workers. Like I understand these corporations are making millions of dollars by doing production factorization farming but I'm pretty sure they could come up with a plan were they can go back to "the real way of farming" and make the same amount of farming if that can still keep up with their corporations. Now some reason on why the probably don't want to go the safer route is because they probably don't want to put the time in do to the reach so the project can be a success. Another reason is that their too lazy and just want to stick to the process they know and as long as their not being told to change their system, they are going to continue with their system.
Some possible questions I have for my I-Search Paper are the following?
1) Should Kevin's law be passed?
2) How does the cost o organic foods effect lower/middle class family?
3) Why does factory raised chickens have more bacteria than farm raised chickens?
4)Has technology changed the food industry?
Now on with my personal life! My mother was yesterday so that was somewhat excited. I don't know its like the older I get the less exciting my birthday is to me. I mean don't get me wrong I'm happy and thankful that I get to live another year but I feel when your younger its just something more to look forward too. So for me and my sister birthday because its her birthday too were going to Florida. UGHHHHH! This has been such a stressful time because this trip was so last minute so right now I'm trying to work hard so I can make sure I have enough money for everything. I'm currently still looking for another job and hoping a can land an internship. Its getting colder outside which means I'm getting crappier because I HATE being COLD!!!!!!!!!!! Right now I'm trying to catch up on all my school work and see how many credits I have because next year I might be moving and I want to make sure I am on top of everything. Until Later.
